The Shifting Worldview
Seventy-seven years ago, as the world was beginning to recover from World War II, author and theologian C.S. Lewis warned of the coming cultural shift. “There is no objective Right or Wrong: each race or class can invent its own code or ‘ideology’ just as it pleases,” he wrote, adding, “If the post-Christian view is the correct one, then we have indeed waked from a nightmare.” The reality is that a nightmarish cultural shift has become evident all around America today. It may look as though the devil has gained the upper hand, as the enemy has even successfully divided followers of Christ over many issues. Believers must unify around the absolute truth of the Word of God, boldly and with strength, so that the United States is not soon consigned to just another memory in the dustbin of history.
